Welcome to "Sal Santiago's Country Page" Sal is a true Country performer, he just didn't put a cowboy hat on and learned a handful of country songs and called himself a cowboy or a country artist like so many other performers attempt to do. Sal began his professional music career in the USA as a country music drummer in Peoria Illinois, then to Nashville Tn. playing drums at The Grand Ole Opry for some of the biggest icons in country music, he also toured for many years with those artists, such as Crystal Gale, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Marty Robbins, Tom T. Hall, Ronnie Milsap, just to name a few. Sal performed at the Grand Ole Opry as a staff drummer, and appeared in many episodes of Hee-Haw, Nashville tonight, The Porter Wagner show & Pop Goes The Country. He had the honor of being the original drummer of the great short live country singer/ song writer "Mel Street". Yes I look a little different, younger back then, some even with a mustache & others with my afro..lol
With 4 Real Country CD's available on different platforms, such as I-Tunes, Apple music, YouTube & on stage where he performs, you'll know that Sal Santiago is the REAL DEAL. He can perform as a Solo or with his complete Country Music Band "Renegade" depending on budgets, or venue size. His band has been together for almost 10 years performing in Las Vegas, Laughlin, Reno Nevada & the Tri-State area. The incredible support received by his fans, friends & the appreciation by the venue owners/managers during and after the performances it's been overwhelming, and I couldn't be more grateful & humbled. Sal was voted "Best of Las Vegas Las Vegas" in 2017, 2018 and again in 2021. What an honor!
Sal, by himself or with his band perform the truest form of country music, the classics! From the 60's to the late 90's, from the most iconic country artist in the business.
He says we are a country music Show Band, of course dancers are always welcome at our show and into the dance floor.
Sal Santiago is also the creator of the 0ne of a kind Country Music Show "The Sal Santiago Hillbilly Roundup", a production show completely with traditional Country & Bluegrass Music, Clogger dancers, Comedy, Costumes & more.
However, we shut down before we got off the ground due to the Covid locked down, we were ready to debut our show at the iconic Tropicana Hotel/Casino with full steam ahead & sold tickets, however that didn't happen, and I had put that project on hold.
So here we are 2024, I'm ready to present my show to the right venue, I can also adjust the show and number of cast members to accommodate the size of the stage & the seating capacity. Love to talk to you about it & discuss details.
Sal Santiago has also responsible for "The All Star Country Jam" now 6 years running, where country artists, musicians & singers and adoring & faithful fallowers flock to show to share their talent and have a great time.
With so many country super starts performing in Las Vegas casinos, some of them or their band members find their way to the " Sal Santiago All Star Country Jam", to let off steam, to sing or play along with the cream of the crop musicians in Sal's awesome "Renegade" band and visit with their tremendous audience and followers.
